Default Tips for Grafham tomorrow?

I'm off to Grafham again tomorrow, hopefully we'll actually get out in a boat this time after the 100 mile trip?

Any suggestion as to location and patterns to use?

Kind Regards

BM

Try all the way from Gaynes Cove , round the dam to G bouy.
Try 100 yrds out to the bank / dam with floater to midge tip.

4 fly cast with crunchers, nymphs and dull blob or booby on the point.
Slow figure of eight.
Pray it doesn't blow a gale

G Buoy, G Buoy G Buoy. then when you get bored, head to Gaynes Cove or hit the dam for a fry basher.

Fish the Dam 40m each side of the tower...

Floater with Hare's ears, crunchers or diawls..

3 or 4 flies all spaced about 4ft apart....just cast out about 15-20yards and fish ultra slow....simple as that really.

Or if the winds wrong Fish G bouy point, Marlow Jetty, Deep Water point or The seat...

I wouldn't bother witha boat the fish are all literally along the banks feeding on shrimps and are 10 yards out !!

My 6 year old lad managed to catch 2 rainbows on saturday and he can only cast 10 yards !!

You tie one using washed out fritz material. The trout have seen too many bright blobs whizzing along and take the washed out ones fished ultra slow with nymphs.

Look in Grafham shop for the washed out Fritz.

Does that help?
