Managed to break the tip of my CRX88 5wt 4 piece rod the other day by accident
I have sent an email via the Flextec website to enqire about getting it fixed/replaced under warranty, although have not had a reply as yet.

Am I wasting my time with this....!!!

Would be a real shame as I really like Flextec rods but if the warranty is worth didly squat then I doubt I'll buy another!!!!

I telephoned tackle discounts (I assume that is who you purchased through?) 'Nina' at the other end fast tracked my problem by emailing and asking for pictures - she then sent me a shiny new butt
section within 2 days.


I should add - mine had a defect, it wasnt accidental damage (i dont think their warranty covers accidentall damage does it?)

If i remember correctly it will cost you more in postage ect than you paid for the rod in the first place. I use them too and are good enough rods

I bought a flextec rod 10ft 7/8# and while casting the top section broke about 1 inch past the join contacted Flextec they asked me to return the rod and 4/5 days later I received a replacement in the post no problems and no hassle at all very reasonable about it and a thoroughly pain less experience altogether.
