That's a wide ranging question can you narrow it down to stillwater or river and which particular waters you are likely to fish?

Buzzers are still working well, as are Daddy long legs fished wet or dry. Fry patterns are coming into their own as well. Personally I am having great success with a small duck fly fished wet or dry, and a size 14 or 16 Black and Peacock Spider with a red butt, fished an inch or two below the surface during the evening rise has proved incredibly effective. Where I am fishing I am finding that the trout seem to take a fly just subsurface much more confidently than 'off the top' and you still get that lovely swirl on the take.

There were seriously big, brown sedge coming off my local last week, along with tiny buzzers. I was getting fish on a size 14 small black hopper fished dry and a size 12 parachute/klink type thing. My plan of attack is usually to see what's happening when I get to the water.
