Default Returning Fly Fisher

Hi All

I am returning to fly fishing after 25 years of absence (don't ask) based in North Staffs, I intend to fish the larger still waters and eventually get back to river fishing, what ever happened to Tittersworth? So other than Blythfield, Carsington and Draycote any suggestions before I give the likes of Grafham a go next year. I reallise I have left it a bit late in the year to start but needs must and am just catching up with the developments of the last 25 years.

Pete

Heyup Pete,
Where about in N.Staffs are you ?
If you are not to far away Westlow Mere at Congleton,is well worth a go,
excellent value for money, lovely surroundings and top notch fishing to boot.
Paul.

Hi Pete. I Love Westlow, but haven,t been able to fish it for a month though my friend Jamie(beerlover) fished it recently and did well. Lovely little fishery and very helpful staff and very reasonable rates.

Just to let you know, the Greys Bank Finals will be fished at Westlow this coming Sat and Sun, and will be closed for pleasure fishing.

The lads at Westlow are very helpful and friendly, as are most of the people who fish there. Some of the steep banks can be a problem on the back cast though.
