Default Wild brownie bonanza for East Lancs TinTT club

Congrats to Colne Water AC for all the habitat works and contributions to campaigns to protect the river from weir raising. Story here:
Trout in the Town: Colne habitat works revisited
Forum members should note that there are very reasonable day tickets available (as well as club membership). Go here for contact and other details: Colne Water Angling Club

Thanks for the company and the fishing Graham - as ever I enjoyed my visit immensely.

Paul,

I've decided I want your job - your chosen method of monitoring the effectiveness of the clubs work is especially appealing Landing 14 little corkers in an hour and a half is just brilliant I'm gonna have to get a day ticket there when the season opens again!

good work by all
cheers
Brian S.

check your pm's mate!

Nice one Bazzer - I want my job too; its ace.

PS re PM, please check the "NB" at the end of my initial post....

Just for clarification for everyone - the fishing trip that I wrote up and published on the 4th October actually took place on Saturday 10th September; which is in time for the end of the trout season on 30th September on the Colne.

The works in the video took place in 2009 (if memory serves correctly) and are also featured in an update in the DVD extra on "Urban trout fishing" released by Fish On. You can see the "before works" shot fade into the re-vegetated state 12 months on on the Colne (it is in the section after the SPRITE project).
The web version of this DVD extra is here:

Hi Paul....glad you had a good day, sorry I couldn't be there on the day, having said that I've fished with you a few times, you could catch fish in an empty bucket haha!! the works done on the river have made a hell of a difference for the fish, they seem to be moving back up again, we just need some of the 120 members we have to fish the river.
