hi folks. i'm writing up a newsletter for my fishing club and i'd like to add a crossword. i've had a look on some websites for the crossword maker and some try to charge you even though they advertised it as free (which is very annoying as you have to write out all the answers and the clues first)

i've tried some but when i try to copy and paste them into word or publisher they only copies the whole grid without any sqares

could someone please point me to a good free tried and tested website that they have used to make there own or any good free software. many thanks.

Just a thought but could you use some old crosswords from trout and salmon
say from 6 or 7 years ago photo copy and print off.
Or are your questions going to be more for your club members on your rivers and beats.
I suppose I will be shot now for advising you to break t&s copyright.

cheers mike. great idea, but i wanted to personalize it more towards our club especially for the youngsters. besides most of the other members wouldn't get very far on any of those t&s crosswords anyway

thanks mike. i just installed it and it could do the job i suppose. what you have to do on this one is actually make and design the grid yourself and then add each clue for each answer. which is exactly what i didn't want to do as there are easier ones online but are difficult to cut and paste.
