Default Loganlea

Hi folks, my mate and I are thinking of heading here this weekend for a few hours and I was looking for a little info on the place as neither of us have fished it before. Any help would be greatly received

hi, i fish loganlea often as i live nearby if you are fishing of the bank, i would recomend the top end (where the burn runs in). Although there is a wall behind you so watch your casting... oh and watch out for walkers and bikes...... in my opinion this is the best place to fishthe burn mouth can also fish well, although you need to wade, but it is easy going as for flies a cdc dry fly is a good bet, or a damsel hothead takes alot of fish also buzzers work well as well just depends on the conditions.... but a damsel hothead is a safe bet. more information can be found here: Loganlea Fishing Reports

hope this helps

I recently had lunch at the Flotterstone Inn and thought I'd drive up to LoganLea to have a look. I parked, with difficulty, where I didn't quite obstruct anyone and walked back to the "friendly fishing lodge", a rather scruffy container. I was greeted with a not so friendly "You can't leave your car there". I said I wasn't intending to stop and asked if they had a leaflet. "Not at the moment, you can see the prices there".

The fishing may well be very good, and it's a beautiful place as the dozens of walkers would testify, but I won't be going back to find out.

Mike

There are certainly easier and more welcoming places to fish in the area!

Maybe from a boat worth the trip, but really a bit of a bust as a bank fishing venue.

Hi guys, thanks very much for taking the time to reply, like on here ive heard different things from different people, guess we'll just go and see how it turns out, there probably are easier places to fish but i like to go to various venues and see what they're like, fished nearly all the places out my way with the exception of Linlithgow Loch so thought we would try a bit further afield.
Thanks again, I'll let you know how it goes
