Whilst often cringeworthy, it also had some very enjoyable moments.
Thanks for posting.

Thanks for posting this Noel. I thoroughly enjoyed watching although agree with the comment about a bit cringeworthy in places. No need for the guitar solo!
Overall a beautiful film well worth a watch. Thanks again

I agree about the guitar, but otherwise it is absolutely brilliant - true to the spirit of old Walton.

cheers,

Andy

Funny story.

Pete from the fishing shop called to tell me James was in town and he has asked to check out some of our Lathkill Fish. We thought we would confirm various stereotypes of English keepers and so I was tying flies in my lunch hour in the fishing hut, dressed in my tweeds (like I do every lunchtime!).

James arrived and I waved to him to come and join me. We shook hands and I offered him a bottle of beer from the river. At various points during our conversation the underkeepers, work experience boys and college block releasers came to the fishing hut door, each holding some the oldest and most obscure tools and with caps in hands, informing me that work had been completed and requesting further orders. They were each dispatched to the 'bottom acres' and such ficticious places. James eyes grew wider with each brisk instruction.

Nice bloke, great artist, likes his kip on the riverbank I recall.
