Default First ever trout

Today I went to the family day organised by the salmon and trout association, at Albury Park Fisheries, was absolutely brilliant, had my first ever trout and also brought in another just so that I had the chance to land one.

Here is the fish, about 1 or 2 lbs, very pleased (I know, not the normal fly fishing clothes, but I have just started)

Thanks for taking the time to read, James

Utterly brilliant. It's a day you'll remember for ever as it's now etched into your psyche. The thing is there's countless other 'memorable days' stretching out in front of you. Enjoy the adventure.

Thanks everyone, it was a brilliant day and even if I hadn't of caught anything, still would have been great, the person who taught me was brilliant and I think I have all the basics for casting.

Definately will, I find fly fishing really fun and exciting but relaxing at the same time, and I have tied a couple of the flies I used to cach that fish, so I will try to get back to albury park fisheries in the next couple of weeks

James
Delighted for you - dress code is irrelevant BUT pleased to see the old eye protection - essential if you want to ensure continued progress in your tying
