Default rod stand.....???

can anyone help..looking for a rod stand that you push into the ground to hold your rod while you tackle up..seen one advertised somewhere but can't remember where it was... looked like a stainless steel affair.. but not anywhere to be found..perhaps i should spend more time fishing than thinking...

Leeda make a magnetic rod stand that fixes to the side of a car and enables you to tackle up. It also holds the rod safely in a high wind and prevents it blowing over

They are £5.99 and available from most large fishing shops.

Could have been a sandspike you saw? The butt fits in a cup and a 'u' shaped guide holds the rod in place; you push it into soft ground. Sea gear mate, no reason why it wouldn't help though

Jesus! Why would you want to buy / use such a redundant piece of sh1te?

Can I suggest that you want to sort out why you're breaking rods while you tackle up.... you're either the clumsiest person on God's earth or you're doing something fundementally wrong.

Do you really want to carry this item around with you during a day's fishing?

Looks a good bit of kit to me... i often have 2 rods set up and the one not being used tends to sit on the bank (dirt, grass, other rubbish) and can get claggy in the muddy times... this would make life easier for me...
