Default Newbie

Hi all, I'm new to the forum, also fairly new to fly fishing proper. I did some fishing when i was younger but my son and i took it up about a year ago and i'm a serious angler now, lol. We fish Kingennie fishings, members of Monikie angling club and Carlogie Dam in carnoustie. Looking forward to fishing Lake of Menteith and Loch Leven. I enjoyed fishing Butterstone but 'they' tell me Loch Leven is the 1 to master. Look forward to getting some good advice cos let's face it, theres plenty fish for every1 to catch. cheers in advance.

Hello and welcome BJ.
You got it right with the Leven comment.
You aint a wild brown trout fisherman in Scotland, till you have caught one on Leven!!
wellcome aboard.

Guys, thanks for the welcome. I tried Crombie country park reservoir on Sunday for my last attempt of the season for brownies, nae luck, did the mistake of throwing the line out, sit down pour a coffee and a good offer, no ready, missed. did that 6 times. still an enjoyable day tho. A question for you guys, Is it correct i can't post in the classified section until i have 30 posts? I have a Broman O Dell 10ft 7/8 that i'd like to swap for a 6wt, anything considered, oops, looks like i just advertised it, lol. Cheers
