Default sharperley springs

hi everyone i recently took up fly fishing and had a day at sharperley springs and managed to catch 3 trout using buzzers,i would like to use some other type of fly and wondered if anyone could point me in the right direction
including fly and method thanks

Hi drfox, and welcome to the forum as well as fly fishing!

Take a look at the link below, you will find reviews by a number of different fishers, most of which mention flies & methods. I have never fished here myself, but it seems like buzzers were a very good choice on your first trip.

It looks like a fishery where floating line will suit most of the time. In terms of methods, its often a case of just making sure your fly is in the water.

Nymphs on a floating line do well there very slow retrieve
Or let them drift ( especially on the lake facing the hut ) cast around the island area but be patient you'll know when you find the right depth
I'm heading there Sunday I think so I'll get some gen for you
