If anyone is concerned about cloudy water on the Wear below Wolsingham, it's down to the fact that contractors are "repairing" the railway bridge, they have dammed the river under one of the arches of the bridge and have dug out an opening at the other end of the bridge, I've spoken to a bloke at the EA and he told me to take pictures, make notes and to complain about the water quality so that something can be done about it. The angling club at Wolsingham were not contacted to discuss access nor were we told when the work would be carried out, but fancy starting now, why didn't the nuggets do it earlier in the year?
