Default Burton on Trent

OK so - Burton on Trent for the Fly Fair -looking at fishing options 'roughly' around there .... have seen campsite virtually on edge of Carsington Water apparently which sounds like it might be an answer (?), I've previously fished at Press Manor (and would possibly go again), I'll likely be 'on my own' and have never fished out of a boat (yet - although that due to be remedied soon with a planned trip) - any hot tips from any of you in that area where may be a good enjoyable day on the bank ?

I may (?) need to do a deal whereby the better half drops me off and goes spending her money elsewhere for the day, but equally somewhere that is no-where near shops or civilisation may prove cheaper for me in the long run !!

Any guesses ?

Cheers - Paul B
