Default Airflo fly rod

Hi,
I am considering updating my Airflo 40+ XT to the latest 40+ Nantec or an Airtec nano. Has anyone got some feedback on either of these rods? I have an old Airflo SLS and i am finding some of Airflo's more recent rods failing to impress!

Airflo rods have never had that good of name to be truthful, not sure about the new models but Im sure you could get better rods for the same money.
Just my thought

I have a 40+ Nantec, brought with a airflow 40+ floater .......used for 1 hour and then thrown in the back of the garage, the least said the better

I've got an airflo airtec nano 9ft 6in, #6/7 and there is nothing at all wrong with it, i am impressed with it's ability, i actually gave a casting champion a shot of it (i won't name names) and he was equally impressed, as were most people who have used the rod.

You have to remember that Airflo don't charge you an arm and leg for their products, and have always been in there with decent budget type rods, as with any product, you get what you pay for, mostly.

I will at times, forego using, for example my Sage rod in preference of the airflo, nothing at all wrong with them IMHO.

Hope this helps.

Best regards
Jim

Good luck with the new line carp_gone, hope it works for you.

as an aside: i was not dissing your opinion, what suits me, may not suit someone else, besides it would be a dull old world, if everyone agreed on everything

Best regards
Jim
