Even the big ones get eaten
My brother has just e-mailed me two remarkable photographs apparently taken at a place named Turtle Lake, North Sakatchewan in Canada of a pike angler who was spinning for the big bruisers and hooked a 36 incher. As he was playing the fish a 56 incher-55 pounder grabbed the smaller pike and the angler landed both fish-one photo shows the largest with the smaller one in its jaws. Needless to say this is a new Canadian record by some distance and what a feat-and how fortunate to get the pics to prove it. If anyone would like to see the pics pm me your e-mail and I'll pass it to you. It's quite amazing and something I doubt will ever happen again.
