Default Shimano Stradic Fly rods 8/9wt 10'

Does anyone have information or opinion on these rods, I realise that the Stradic gear is Shimano's middle range of fishing tackle but I know nothing about the fly rods. I've done a search on here and the general opinion of Shimano's fly rods seems positive but I'm after anyone with experience of this particular model. I was hoping it would make a good Salt/Pike rod to replace my 10' 7/8wt Shakespeare Xtra Power Special. Any views would be welcome thanks
