Default My fish is more wild than your fish.

Silly season is upon us again and the arguements have started early. The most hotly debated is always about wild vs naturalised vs stocked trout. Can we come to some sort of agreement on who stocks the best wild fish and what stew ponds could you (as a friend once said) whistle them out of. A definitive list is waiting to be produced. Jon

Cumbrian wild trout are better than Scottish wild trout, and Welsh wild trout, that should do it.

no such thing as naturalised its either wild or a stockie and most wildfish now will have stocked strain in them somewhere

But what if........what if its been in that 2 acre pond for like 4 months and it's eaten ten snails, a fag end, 30ft of flurocarbon, two trichoptera and...... and a giant killer shrimp and survived temps down to 6 degrees surely its a wild fish now.
