Default Lost Danielsson Midge!

Well would you believe it, when I was fishing over August I have managed to misplace a Danielsson Midge
I lost it either on the Calder the Hebden water or the Eden - so not too much area to cover then

Anyway, if you happen to see one going cheap, perhaps you can give us the nod. Typical that I had a pair and sold the other one in the same month!

Sad news Dave, surprised it's taken from August until now to discover you've lost it.
Which part of the Eden?

Yes Steven... I use it with a #2 line and have been using different reels since my return. Went to fish the Wellow on Sunday and it was missing.

Just checked the car (for the fifth time) and can only assume I dropped it. I was on the Kirkby stretch. Little hope of finding it really. Perhaps its in the layby J36? Can't imagine it's there now!

Ah well, cannot win them all...

Dave may be worth a try contacting John Garner KSA secretary, it may well of been handed in, pretty honest lot round here, I like to think.
You could contact (calhiget) on here as well, he is on the comittee I think and may know something.
Good luck.

This is hardly the same thing, but in my youth I used to partake in the smoking of herbal resin based cigarettes. One day we went to our local bit of countryside to embibe, and lost my stash, a 'teenth' street value of about 7 quid. The last place I had it was on a bench near the stream.

About 3 years later, I found myself on the very same bench. I mentioned to my mate I was with that years earlier I had lost a chunk here a few years ago.

You can guess the rest, under the bench, in the same matchbox it was lost in!

We had moved up to roll ups by then, so a nice relaxing afternoon was had by all.

Moral?

It's not lost until you never find it !

Thanks Steven... I'd like to think it was handed in somewhere. I think it's unlikely I dropped it there. More so on the Calder - probably toppled out when I was packing up - it was dark.

Great story carpflier... moral? Some people are lucky B@:stards!
