Default North West Fisheries

Hi

Not been fishing for a couple of months and will be going asap and was wondering how the fisheries are doing in the north west lately?

I have had a look at Pennine and it's the usual 50 pounders being caught on egg flies - anyone know how the rest are fishing?

Is Clegg Hall still closed by the way?

Cjeers

Can only comment on fisheries I've fished recently. Barnsfold Waters near Preston is fishing well. Meadow Fishery was suffering from algae and high water temperatures about a month ago. Marton Heath Trout Pools were slow, but fish were caught and Stocks was tough but producing. Others will have to report on waters they fish. Oh and Arnsfiled's suffring due to water levels low and lots of algae so would let it settle for the moment.

Been to Stocks today - Had 1 rainbow from the bank as did others, some landed 5 up to 5lb. Depends on the day. Look at Stocks report on website, for info.

Res is brim full, best fished in waders from the bank.

Clegg Hall still closed and could remain that way. Curleys suffering as same with Arnfields.
Barnsfold, Bank House and Stocks probably your best bets. Those club waters that also do day tickets still give you the chance of fish if you now how to fish them.
