Default Attaching tapered leaders

The butt section is quite thick surely you guys don't tie a knot in the end as this would be too bulky? I'm sure a few of you have a clever way of seamlessly attaching them to your braided loop/fly line?

I tie a surgeons loop (or perfection loop) in the leader and use a loop to loop connection
