Heard earlier in the week that they had a problem there, thought they would have closed the fishery until it was sorted out, doesn't sound to good.

Probably same as at Arnfields, warm water and genetic RMS in the trout. I also think a place that is heavily fished can stress out the trout especially with C & R.

No, they're still taking money, and telling everyone 'the fish are deep'

That's scandalous that they are taking money when the fishery is in such a poor condition. This will ruin their reputation and it takes a long time to rebuild it.

Curley's like a lot of fisheries did suffer because of the extremely high water temps over Aug and early September. All the problems were with the fish that had been C&R'ed several times, normally they can recover and get on with life but with the high temps they did fall into poor condition. We reduced the ticket price to £10 all day for C&R at the height of the problem and did tell everyone what the conditions were prior to them buying a ticket.
I am pleased to say that the fishing is now back to our normal standard - with lots of guys catching perfect condition, fully finned fish.

As some of you may know I have very recently taken over the running of the fishery and this is the first "problem" I had to deal with. I can assure all of you that I and the new bailiffing team are and will be, working hard to make sure that everyone who visits us has a great time fishing.
If any of you who came to the fishery over the last couple of weeks and didn't have a favorable experience please get in touch with me and I will reduce the price of your next ticket.
Tightlines
Mike

Thanks for the update mike , i was there a few months ago enquiring about fishing there. Spoke to a few lads fishing and no one said anything so suppose this was before any problem arose..
