Default Stocking Foot Waders -Advice Needed

Been looking at getting my first set of stocking foot chest waders, I have read through plenty of threads on here and as I'm on a budget have come to the conclusion that the Bisons are the ones to go for.

My problem is I'm 6'2" of medium build but have size 12 feet and would have thought the XL waders are going to be plenty big enough but the foot part is only sized for 9-11, anyone else experienced this or had the Bison waders and found that they still fit ok ?

Andy

Don't think you'll have a problem with the feet Andy, they are very forgiving, and should allow your foot size easily.
Before you jump in though, take a look in the Orvis sales, Enduras are not much more at full RRP, may be less in the sales, and you get the one and only Orvis guarantee, well worth having.

Checked a few sites and the cheapest I found the Orvis Enduras was £130, are they worth the extra £50 over the Bisons, mixed reviews on the Orvis website with a few people complaining of leaky seams, what's the guarantee with Orvis ?

I iwas tempted by the Endura... I bought them on the basis that if they leak - they replace them. The Orvis warranty would appear to be fairly robust and well supported - I like them, working well so far.

Anyway, I don't feel I have had them long enough to want to sway anyones purchasing decision - so here's the thread with a bunch of others' opinions:

Cheers for that, appears that they seem pretty popular, so with the Orvis guarantee if they leak you can exchange them, is that correct ?

That seems to be what everyone says. I questioned it in the Exeter Orvis Shop, it was like just a 'non thing' really... If they leak bring them back and we will give you a new pair. I had tried numerous waders along the way... These were the ones for me though by a clear country mile.

rockhopper, I wouldn't be advising you to get them if their gaurantee wasn't rock solid.
If you do a search on here for anything Orvis you will see they get the highest praise.
Yes the RRP for the Enduras is £130, but as said if you wait and watch the Orvis sale will usually be offering them for less than the Bisons, not always, but usually.
Bisons are also highly respected, many of my friends have them and they are good, but if you want a no questions asked guarantee, for when your waders leak, and they will, go for Orvis, full stop...
