Reduced Website

Due to routine maintenance, we are currently running a reduced version of our website from 18:00 Friday 16 September until 06:00am Saturday 17 August. You will still be able to check our flood warnings and use other essential services on this site. Please check the relevant pages for more information.

Bruce

I've been looking at this site. All it shows me is the actual level and where that is within the normal range. The normal range is very wide, though, and even though there is no flood danger it is impossible to fish when the water is at the upper end of its range. At the moment its reporting 0.5m within a range of 0.1 to 1.7m.

What level do you consider to be the upper level for fishing?

hi tt , if you mean for the Wharfe and in particular at Pool because i fish it a lot and know the levels, at 0.50 it is slightly up above normal winter level but fishable anything below 0.45 is more than fishable in fact very near perfect dont get me wrong you can still fish above these levels but more bank as would be to risky wading ,and still able to catch above the said levels ......

at the moment its showing just under 0.90.........
