Default watershed Q

I treated all my dry flies before with watershed. The hackles etc on some are all stuck together and some of them are pretty wet ( bit of an overkill on my part) but they are not dripping in the stuff just very well coated.

Will the hackles and wings etc unstick once dry or will i need to do this before they dry ?

Let them dry otherwise you just wipe the watershed of. The fibers should release. Next time, just wipe the watershed over the hackle fibers using your fingers after applying a little on your fingers and before it evaporates.

When you say you 'had one' do you mean an instructor or the lesson?

Can you let us know what perceptible difference there is with the watershed for you, Billy?

Yup

Longevity is what I would be interested to hear about - does it last.

I know you are new to this, and you wouldn't give a tinkers cuss by saying that it doesn't work.... Or, Blimey that stuff s the dog's.

I simply squirt a bit on my finger after I've tied the dry fly-rub it on the hackle or thorax-whichever and by then it'll be dry. When you get to the water you can add a bit of mucilin or what floatant you have, but it shouldn't be necessary.
