Default Daiwa reel spares

DAIWA ALLTMOR FLY REEL
I just noted yesterday when out fishing that there was no clicker on my Daiwa Alltmor reel. now I normally put these on quiet setting.but having it missing is another matter altogether this is just a small triangular plate.I believe these reels were made by Hardy.Daiwa discontinued them several years ago.Anybody know of spares availability, before I start phoning round.

Jim

According to the site they keep spares for up to five years after a reel is discontinued.

I have a similar problem with a Diawa Lochmor - the clicker, which was a nice subtle one, has gone completely silent. I spoke to Diawa, and they would do a repair, but they wouldn't send out the part - it was repair or 'service' only. Maybe you'll have more luck though. I've had to learn to live with it.

if no joy I have a friend down in deepest south who can make most bits ,would not be a major expense.

Probably not relevant to this one but for reference, I wanted a part for an American Daiwa and eventually talked to an extremely helpful Toby Baar in Customer Services* at admail @ daiwa.com.

Mike

* In this case Customer Services was an appropriate description.

If all else fails and they were made by Hardy, bet your boots it's one of their own triangles fitted to loads of reels. Hardy do a service kit for the likes of Princess and Marquis etc and I've seen them on ebay for about 6-7 quid. The triangles are always in there.

Chris.
