Default Is fishing hard work?

Guys
Do you find a pleasurable day out fishing hard physical work?

I know I am getting older each year but a day out has always made feel like I've had a damned good workout at the gym

Does it affect everyone else????

Must go for a sleep now

Hi GG

I'm galloping towards 70 and when I've had a day's fishing I'm cream crackered. I thoughly enjoy my fishing but it takes it out of me. Usually an hours nap puts things right.

Always feel knackered after a good days fishing, i always thought it must just be a combination of a fair bit a ground covered, fresh air and an early rise. I do however find it tremendously enjoyable and it is always worth it especially when i catch a nice couple trout especially wee wild brownie. Game as anything!

I ran a reasonably normal 15km this morning, but a day's fishing leaves me shattered and snoring on the sofa by 9pm if I get my way!!!

Yep, really drained later. Don't think I'd like 3-4 hours fighting the current in Galway weir anymore.

Chris.

Haven't fished a full day for quite some time. When I do, I'll no doubt be knackered. Wouldn't consider it work though.

I'm really glad other anglers find a day's fishing hard work. I thought it was just me.
