Default new rod needed

broke my trusty old 9ft 6 abu fly rod yesterday, top section gave way, so now looking to replace with simular set up. any ideas dont really want to spend much more than 80 to 90 pounds max.mostly fish ressie or medium size lakes so this is ideal for me. my old rod was a little stiff on top section so would like to try more softer rod but would i have to change my set up
regards
gareth
