Default Getting rid of that mouldy smell off cork

hi guys, was searching around the forums and couldnt find this problem, well as in the title i have this prob on my rod and wondering what is the best way to get rid of mould on the cork, people were saying using alcohol.

or if this prob was posted already can u link it to me?

Just wash it off with water, or if you are fussy add some soap, if really fussy add some disinfectant, bleach or Milton fluid.
I always leave the cap of my rod tube for a few days to allow the damp to dry, never get mould! Same as with waterproof fly boxes, leave them open to dry so as to prevent rust under the dressings.

Whenever my cork handles start getting dirty and smelly I scrub them with SOS/Brillo Pads. Makes them look like new !!

I've not had to do it in a while, but Milton fluid (baby bottle sterilising fluid) worked for me.

Stop puting your rod handle section away damp and you won't get the smell, allow the handle to dry naturally overnight before storing away in the sock and tube until next trip.
