Default leedasink Q

tried to find some info on how exactly to use the stuff..

do i "wipe" the line down with it making sure there is no leedasink on the line afterwards or am i supposed to leave it "soiled" with the stuff ?

is it just a de greaser , use and wipe off or is there more to the stuff ?

Hi mojha

Smear Ledasink on the leader and then wipe it off with a dry cloth. If you leave the grey paste on the leader fish will see it and it will spook them.

Don't treat the line except to clean it occasionally-just degrease the leader and you'll be okay. Problem is you have to keep doing it as it wears off fairly quickly.

The last foot or so to the fly is the most crucial, and needs the most attention. I stick a pea-sized (or smaller) lump where the handle meets the shaft on the rod. You can then apply it frequently without fumbling in your pockets. At least until you cast it off or put your rod in the water. I wipe any excess off over my knee.

I do it another way, may not be correct but works and you only get 1 mucky finger.

Place the pot on your fingers, now trap your leader between your thumb and the gunk in the pot and slide your leader through from line to fly.
