Default peg hogging

I've came across this a good few times now. I dont mind guys fishing on a peg & catching fish for hours, thats up to them if they want to do that. What my gripe is, is when guys leave a peg for lunch & proceed to leave all their gear on the peg so they can hold onto the peg. Don't know if it is ignorance or just bad manners.

I'm with you on that one, but I'm not as charitable. It's not ignorance, it's just bad manners.

Small stillwater 1-2 acres.they have platforms or markers(called pegs) every (should be )30 yards.where anglers have to stand and fish, if it's busy, then all pegs may be taken.

Simple way to deal with that.

Go fish the peg while they are having lunch. Oh and make sure you empty it

Sounds like leaving your ladder in Pyramid Lake to save your spot during lunch or a bathroom break.

I don't like waters with pegs, a bit to regimented for me.

The words 'peg' and 'fly fishing' should never be used in the same sentence. Unless you're the type of mouth breather who frequents such places in which case you deserve all you bloody well get.
