Default Claerwen Wild Brown Trout Fishery Permit

Anyone know anything about it? I'm off to fish the Elan valleys ticket, some lovely water there but found that there's a ticket for Claerwen although there's no information about it.

Cheers,
James

Hi James

I haven't fished Claerwen reservoir but I know a little about. It's advised to go across the dam onto the South shore and fish up to the bird lookout shed. The terrain is a bit tricky so be careful. Brown trout are only small max 10".

Cheers BK, sounds lovely. Any chance of boating/float tubing it?

I would doubt it with reports I've read no one mentions boating. As for float tubing it may be banned due to the threat of the spread of the Killer Shrimp which is already in Wales.
