Have a look at the ASSO thread, the fluorocarbon being sold by Grommit and Sunkistbob, they swear it's the best thing since sliced bread, there's also some good feedback on it.

I won't say it's good till they give me a free (full) spool

Best regards
Jim

I generally use Riverge Softplus in 8.2lb which checks in at 0.185mm. I've got some of the Asso in 8lb which is rated at 0.21mm. Either is OKJ for buzzer fishing, but if I'm fishing very clear water as at Farmoor then I will go for the Riverge.

I use 0.21 most of the time but am also happy with 0.23 on the bigger waters.

I would not go any finer than that as buzzer takes can be very savage when they are feeding confidently.

I, too, have switched to the Asso and it is really good.

Another vote for the soft plus. Very hard to beat it, especially in very clear water. Bit on the expensive side though.

I use fulling mill 6x and have nothing but praise for it. Fished with it on Clearwaters, reservoirs nymphs lures and buzzers also dries. You can tow a bus around with it and i have taken fish too 13lb on it. I haven't used Asso so can't comment

As my 'screen name' suggests I fish buzzers a lot! I'll give another vote for the Asso, it's certainly working for me.

If your fishing Small Waters........ 4/5lb Fulling Mill Fluro. is fine for buzzer.... 6 is to heavy imo.

Don't get fooled into buying top dollar stuff

It was a maxim of the late Dick Walker that you should always use the strongest line you could consistent with still being able to get takes. 4lb Fulling Mill is 0.18mm., 8.2lb Softplus is 0.185mm. Sure Softplus is double the cost, but what price do you put on lost fish?
