I am looking at new rods in the run up to xmas... (only 16 weeks!!!) and have found a Scierra HM+ 10ft #7 for a reasonable price... do any of you fine folks know if it is any good or not? do any of you own one? feels like my kind of stick but im not 100% yet!

No Jim definately HM+ dont know if it is a new or older model... are Scierra rods generally any good?

Scierra rods are in general very reliable and good VFM.I use A pair of Scierra SST 10'-7# rods for comp fishing, these were early Scierra rods.I do not know anything about the HM+ but bought an HM3 10'-7# but it was not an improvement on the SST so I sold it.

HM + is scierras newest rod in the hm series rods.Not heard anything about it though.
