Howdy All,
Does anyone have experience of Zhu or ZYZ reels? They're Chinese, they're on Ebay and there's a new website too. They certainly look good and the price point is high enough (for a bargain reel, if that makes sense) to make them either good enough or a monumental waste of money. I've looked at some US forums with postings from a couple of years ago, but would like more recent opinions.
Any and all opinions accepted.

I bought one of their split cane fly rods, it was a bargain at the price. Not heard anything about the reels.

Yeah, the Yanks say that the rods are good for the price so that might be an indicator for the reels.

I seem to remember someone here on the forum had bought one and was offering it free to anyone for the cost of the postage.

Interesting. Any idea of the when, where and why? They might know something...

Here's one of the US distributor (here in Oregon):

Gather these are "Zhu" rods out of China; suspect the reels may be from the same supplier.
Zhu split cane fly rod 7' #4.
