Default Line for Sage Z-Axis wf7 Help!

Hi, just purchased a Z-Axis from a fellow forum member. As i dont want to damage the blank with lures etc, im thinking of keeping this as a floating line only rod and using my VPS for sinkers. Having just had a good look at my current floater i daren't put that through the rod with the amount of cracks and dirt it has accumulated over the season, and as such im going to treat it to a new line!
Any comments/ suggestions as to what wf7 floater i should go for and what will help me get the best out of this rod? Looking to fish stillwaters only with it, so probably mainly a team of buzzers and the occasional dry fly so presentation as important as distance.
Thanks in advance.
Lyndon

Best person to ask is Diarmid mate , i would not worry about fishing lures off it as it will throw anything ,

Cheers

Just thought i'd throw it out there as i know line choice can be quite personal and bound to split opinion! Its not so much the throwing of lures im worried about, more the chance of a goldhead smashing the blank due to a bad cast during a 100mph wind on Brenig!haha!
Thanks though Edd7

Never used a rio line before, more use to Cortland and Snowbee's although ive heard the Greys Platinum are nice. Will do some research.
Thanks Diarmid

Can't find any Rio Gold's from Foxons or Ebay, have found Rio Grand if that is similar?? Sportfish has Rio Grand, at £60 i better treat it better than my last floater!

I used to have a ZA 7 weight.

Nice rod, but I would fish it with an 8 weight line, PP's are as good as any for that.

Alternatively a Rio Grand is actually a 7.5 and is an excellent line for that rod but it is 3 x the price of Stewart's and it depends whether you want to spend that much on a line.
