Default pre treatment floatant

i went to a tackle shop a few miles down the road to get some watershed or musilin, non in but gave me some

Halstead and Hartley supafloat 2 , any good ? i got it as there was nothing else , if its no good it hasn't broke the bank.

smells a bit like tippex

It is excellent! You use it at the waterside, before you make your first cast with the fly.

because im not sure what flies i will use etc etc i wanted to pre treat all my small collection before i go fishing , he said this would be ok , treat them all.let dry on a bit of paper or whatever and bingo ..

Supafloat is not Water Shed! It is for use by the water. Tie on the fly you want to use. Dip it in the Supafloat. Blow it a bit. Cast with it and by the time it lands it is dry and in working order.

It's good stuff its been going for many years. It used to be made in Colne.

The original Superfloat was invented by Richard Walker, but contained Carbon Tetrachloride which has now been banned for domestic use.

Superfloat 2 has a substitute and, whilst not quite as good, is probably safer.
