I have a month off work and want to plan the time well

I am not clear as to whether you ask after a course as in schooling for salmon fishing or you seek suggestions for destination. if it is a destination you seek, are you speaking of July 1 - July 30 or will there be overlap into August? The rivers where I live host salmon from early June through September and others will receive fresh fish through November.

June is the month for the King or Chinook salmon to show themselves in the best numbers. These fish are followed by Chum, Sockeye, and Pink salmon in varied strength of runs dependent on the rivers explored. By July's end the Pacific Silver begins to show but the numbers will be low until you extend into August and some years early September.

If you are all ready proficient at fishing for river species Alaska can be a good venue for catching the salmon. If you would like more information about fishing here feel free to PM.
