Just wanted to say thanks to Peter who runs Thornwood fishery in Essex.
I spent a few hours fishing there this morning and had kind of pre-warned him that I may try and pick his brains about fishery management.

I'd had been a bit worried that fishery managers wouldn't be very forthcoming when it came to imparting hard earned knowledge to a newcomer but Peter spent a good few hours chatting to me and answering my questions.

And as an added bonus I had a very pleasurable few hours of fishing despite the heat.
He's created a lovely fishery there with a huge amount of insect life which meant that the fish were still rising during the hottest part of the day when I left at lunchtime.
I had 4 fish, and missed plenty more, 3 on klinkhammers and 1 on a damsel.

I'd highly recommend anyone who lives nearby to give it a go.
I'll definitely be heading back there soon.
