Fished Stocks Today
Took a boat but started Blue Sky,s but turned overcast and cool with gusty wind
Took 2 fish home for 61/4
buzzers but Daddylong legs and Heather flies caught also
TipsOn reaching the Hark in Slaiburn take SHARP right
you will see a Large sign shortly after the turn on your Left saying Stocks and Betham Diversion Keep on the main road over the bridge across river and up towards HAIRPIN bend keep on the road and you will see Stocks on your Left
Look out for the Sign that says stocks Telephone no( put the number in your mobile ) RING at that point so Matt/Ben can bring your boat at the opposite end of the Lake - it takes a little while
Keep going just past a small Church on your right just around the bend is Left turn (sign posted) and continue until you are on a Bridge Notice on Left side says Anglers only Park this Side go over the bridge and there is a Driveway on your right turn your Car around so you are facing the right way for homeward
journey if you don,t turn may find it Diffacult when bridge is full of cars

Forgot to mention Due the wide spred coverage of the bridge closure issue
Matt tells me the BBC will be filming all day Sunday this is not a wind up

I fished Stocks yesterday and found the going hard. I threw loads of heather fly imitators but no go. Finished up with four which considering the hunreds of rises was a terrible performance on my part.How were they taking today?

when refilling the outboard tank Matt said one boat with 10 1 boat 6 but
3 Boats 0 the wind was blowing right onto the boat jetty shore l flogged it but tough going by yourself
