I have lost my licence and I have a comp tomorrow, I have however my confirmation email when I renewed my licence this year, it says I should print it out and take it with me but typically, I don't have a printer!!

Will I get away with keeping a record of the receipt number on me as proof?

You should have the licence no on the receipt. that will do until you get a new licence.

The bailiffs have little hand held computers to check if you have purchased a license, so as long as you have some ID like a driving license you will be ok.

Should be a licence number and confirmation number on e-mail.
Write them down and take them with you and you are sound.
