Default Good Service & Bad Service

Firstly just wanted say a big thank you to Sterling Angling Centre, ordered some kit off them and they couldn't have been more helpful. It seemed delivery took place a soon as I put the phone down. Absolutely top service and I will be using them again!

In contrast I ordered some kit off one of the other major adverisers in the fly fishing magazines and I have to say the service was the worst I ever experienced in all my 33 years fishing. They sent me the wrong stuff blamed me for it and the person I spoke to was rude and unhelpful. Won't be using them again!

In the end I sent the stuff back!

Hi Black max

I'd name and shame the company saving some of our 32,000 members the same problem you experienced.

Hi the Boom

Could "D" be the first letter or am I way off beam? This is a bit like playing "Hangman".

It certainly wasn't this company Fishing Tackle from FMTC - Fishermans Tackle Company Fly Fishing Tackle Supplies - Put an order in for something that they didn't have in stock and received it two days later. Fantastic service

It's always good to know who you can rely on and who you can't but in view of the risk of giving a dog a bad name unfairly, I think that public negative criticism of traders should be explained in some detail, so that others can make a fair judgement.

In particular "I didn't like their attitude".
I've spent a lot of time dealing with complaints from the public and at least half the time, it was the complainant - often very upset - who mistook what the other person was trying to say, or even deliberately misunderstanding because they were teed off.
Not forgetting the complainant who indulges in 10mins of foul mouthed abuse and then complains when they get the phone put down on them.

Well I've written in to the company so lets see whats comes back?

The situation was I was sent one item twice and charged for it, secondly they didn't have another item in stock and rather than contact me they sent a replacement that wasn't suitable but worse of all they charged me the extra for the item? When I queried it customer service adviser stated well thats what on the order. I explained that wasn't what I ordered and it carried on, thats whats on the order, no appology of anything.

Right from the first moment the phone was answered the CSA was blunt, unhelpfull and to the point.

If I'd have got a 'sorry' we'll replace the items there wouldn't have been any issue.

lets see what happens anyway?
