Great work, looks like things are looking up for all the urban rivers, big thanx to WTT for all the help and advice you give to the REF.

Your support of volunteer groups like ours has proved vital to keep momentum and enthusiasm going. At times we've felt isolated, unsupported and unappreciated but your gentle pat on the back and an arrow pointing in the right direction has kept us on track. I like to measure somebodys worth by the positive impact they have on others and PG TJ WTT and TITT should be very proud indeed. By my reckoning you've orchestrated many people to acheive many positive things of value in their lives all over the UK, and helping fishys ain't a bad thing either .

Long may you reign

Mick

Mick, very well said. Especially when you're running a voluntary organisation, as a volunteer yourself, it's immensely reassuring to have a full-time professional on speed-dial to help with technical matters, talking to the EA at their own level (or just as a shoulder to cry on ). The boys and girls at the WTT should never underestimate how much confidence they're giving groups of amateur river restorationists all over the country...
