Default fish of the month in TFF

has anyone seen the fish of the month in total flyfisher.
it's a rugby ball shaped fish with a ragged tail. surely a fish of the month winner has to at least resemble a wild looking fish. it looks not long out of the stock pond.

Hi Mate, the salmon would have been fish of the month but the photo quality was very poor and could not be blown up.

Would you rather see a horrid photo of a wild fish, or a very good photo of stock fish?

I agree, Steve. If one wants truly wild fish then one should fish small rivers and brooks. I'm sure stillwater managers aim to please their customers ,but some times it's just not possible. It's nice to catch a fully-finned trout with nice shaped tail, but doesn't always happen. Such is life and fishing!

So is the criteria for FOTM whichever is the best picture? Wouldn't it not be better entitled POTM?

Photoshop can only do so much, you can't enlarge an image without it pixelating really badly, I don't think this is 'bad looking' fish, not the best granted, but still, compared to some I've seen in some magazine's it's a positive beauty!

" We look forward to receiving your entries, and, remember, you don't have to catch a huge fish to win; it might be your first fish, a great-looking fish or an unusual specimen, as long as it qualifies."
