Once was on holiday at Pontoon Bridge Hotel on Loch Conn Ireland.
The hotel sent you out each day with a 'pack up'.
On this particular day (which was very windy and the liquid sunshine was falling in torrents from the sky

) the gillie took us ashore for lunch on a little sheltered island.
As he set about the kelly kettle we unpacked the food from the little hamper.
It was a plated meal of cold chicken leg, salad and roll.
Once the cling film was removed the salad blew off the plate , the roll started to absorb the torrential rain and the only thing edible was the drumstick.
Lesson learned, next day a request was made for sarnies in tupperware.
Normally back on home turf its a bottle of water and fruit
