Talking 1st Loch Leven Brownie on my own Fly :D

What a hell of a night on the loch, landed 12 (all under 1lb) lost about 6 decent sized fish and probably had over 20 offers, all on my own flies and no "real" patterns

1st one came within 3 casts on a wee gold/cinnamon creation shown below, there's not much left of it as you'll see as it was getting hammered all night, fished on 2nd dropper.

Here's my wee troot on said flee; around 3/4lb:

This next (point) fly took 7 troots and again, was getting offers all night.

Here's my bob fly which was as close to a Doobry as I could muster with available materials; troot were jumping out the water trying to get hold of it when on the hang:

All these were on the same cast, all night and pulled on a floating line, the takes were very hard indeed!

I think I'll tie these on slightly larger hooks next time as I just couldn't keep hold of the bigger fish and lost a couple 2-3lb mark.

Fantastic night, even in the ever changing winds and constant rain. Soaked to the skin but very happy, back to the vice tomorrow

Good going gary, never fished Leven, but it's on my to-do list, might get some tips from you beforehand

Best regards
Jim
