Default Rutland Water Fly Fishers Juniors Day

I would like to take this opportunity to extend a massive thankyou to all the members of RWFF, Anglian Water and everyone who made the event today possible. I took two children along today, My daughter and a friends son.

Both of them could not stop talking about it on the way home and had a smile from ear to ear.

Even though later on in the afternoon, the rain came down in what was close to torrential it did nothing to dampen their spirits or enthusiasm.

Although Abigail drew a blank, she was absolutely buzzing, and has a new hero in the form of her boatman Nigel. William caught a lovely little Zander and when I dropped him off back home, was already planning tomorrow night's tea.

All in all a splendid day and not one either of them will forget for a long time.

I would like to echo the above thanks to All the Rutland Water Fly Fishers that made this happen and inparticular to John & Malcolm who worked very hard to make this day happen and accomodated last minute entries.

Everyone looked to have a good time I believe there were only two blanks and the Rod average was 2.5 fish.

Here are a couple of pics of the day.

+ 1 to the sentiments above, cracking day in spite of the weather.

Juniors are the future of any sport and the sizeable effort made on this event by RWFF and others is an investment in the future of our sport.
