Default Idea for leadersink?

Just wondered (after watching a TV prog on cleaners) whether anyone had tried making an improved leadersink using limonene? It's a powerful non-toxic degreaser (best source is orange rind), but the downside is it is non-polar so not miscible with water. You would need to make a mix with a surfactant and I'm not sure whether a treated leader might be more hydrophobic after degreasing than it was before? However, it might be worth trying it. I'm thinking... make up a mix of limonene, surfactant, water and glycerine, and mix to a paste with Fuller's earth...

Quick search for a 5 mL sample has so far only given me 1 L for about Ł20, so work to do there

Col

How about just testing with some ready to use Orange degreaser and the fullers earth or some other concoction ?
It is marketed over here as Orange Glo or somethin like that. Works on the stove top and oven.

The Really Good Hand Cleaner is very good as a leader sink. Just a dab does it.

I have been making my own Fullers Earth/Fairy/Glycerine for years ... not no more.

There you go, eh?

I was intrigued enough to have a go at trying to invent the better mousetrap as it were, and have been assembling the ingredients to brew up some experiments. Just waiting on one more to arrive then the trials will begin.
