Default North Wales - Beddgelert

I am off on a family camping trip and fishing passes have been demanded for myself.

I have done the normal google trawl. But anyone got any club or river day ticket knowledge. It would be lovely to walk to the river, but a short drive is fine.

There's trout fishing on Llyn Cwellyn, Llyn Tegid, and the Mawddach river. Contact local information services for permission to fish.

The river Glaslyn is a better salmon and sea trout river than some of the others mentioned. It flows through Beddgelert where your campsite tributary joins it. Fishing Wales - fishery details

The village post office used to sell tickets, best check, if not the Ironmongers in Criccieth definetely does.

Hi Carl,
Try Llyn Cwellyn,it's only a few miles north of where You're staying. There's a good section of bank fishing in open fields, had a few nice, small Browns on daddies a couple of years back. You can get a dat ticket from the pub on the left just south of the llyn, think it might be called the Cwellyn Arms. They also do tickets for a stocked Rainbow water, which is close by.
Llyn Dinas looks good and is on My to do list.
You can't go wrong in North Wales, amazing place, wherever You end up,enjoy.
Cheers Kev.

I stayed in the Royal Goat in Beddgelert for two nights. They have permits for residents so I spent a couple of hours mornings and evenings fishing the Glaslyn.

The Fishing club is also Glaslyn and they have fishing from the village of Beddgelert to the sea, as well as a lake up towards the head of the valley. There was a reasonable spate on the second day but those Sewin didn't come to me.

Welcome - Glaslyn Angling Association

A few wild brownies up on the lake. But a wonderful place with an amazing selection of water in such a short distance and they own nearly every inch of it with only couple of single bank sections..

The weather ...... rainy with occasional cold grey spells. Which was nice for the subsequent two nights under canvass. My little 5 year old princess was less than pleased!
