it will be find my lad.any reel is just for storage anyway if you can cast 70 feet then theres still plenty left to play any size fish you hook really.plus your backing should be ok as well so put the lot on and try it.

Should be ok, really depends on what size the reel is.

No no no no. Posing, matching your rod, matching your reel seat, contrasting with your line, nice sounding click; anything but "just for storage".

If you measure the spool of the reel someone will be able to tell you if that's the right size for your set up. Those reels came in small 3/4 (I think) sizes right up to salmon size. Enjoy it, for at a fiver it's a bargain.

Just be ultra careful with it and don't, whatever you do, drop it on a hard surface. It won't survive.

If it's the CST balance I wouldn't bother.

I have one and TBH it's rubbish.

You might be OK cause it's not the one I have and it's only a fiver.

Pile of sh!te mate imo, but ok for a fiver I suppose. I had one and a word of warning, be careful of your line. It tends to find its way into the small gap between the spool and the cage. I managed to slice a rio gold in two with the one i had.
